Leadership Institute
new item MID-AMERICA: Mid-America ATTC’s 2009 Leadership Institute Commencement and Project Presentation event will be held September 30, 2009 at the Hilton Kansas City Airport Hotel. Twelve graduates from the five-state region will present on their projects and overall leadership development to peers, mentors, agency directors and supervisors. Mid-America has found that the more experienced protégés who were recruited this year have been more motivated to incorporate what they learned in the Immersion Training into their professional development and their projects. As a result of the evaluation conducted by Heather Gotham with 2008 mentors and protégés, there was a stronger emphasis given this year on individual leadership development in addition to projects. We believe this slight change in emphasis has facilitated this group’s growth. Mid-America is looking forward to celebrating the presentations and success of these highly motivated leaders at the 2009 Commencement. For more information contact Debbie Rockford; RockfordD@umkc.edu or at 816.482.1175.
