Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC):

Bachelors Degree

• Official Transcript(s) - Behavioral Science / Counseling

The US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation MUST accredit on-line and correspondence degrees.

Co-Occurring Disorders

• 45 hours
• Abnormal Psychology or other class covering topics

Practicum

• 300 Hours total
• At least 10 hours in each of the 12 Core Functions

Employment

• 24 Months
• 4000 hours total
• ½ must be direct client contact

Supervision Contract

• With a Board Approved Supervisor

Supervision Log*

• 2 years
• Meet with Supervisor face to face 1 hour per week

General Supervision Evaluation*
