by at least a CADC-II)

of the CADC-I
- Provide verified
documentation of 6,000 hours or 3 years full-time supervised
work experience as an alcohol and drug counselor (supervised
by at least a CADC-II)

Clinical Supervisor
Certification (CCS):
- Meet all requirements
of CADC-II
- Verification of
5 years (10,000 hours) of counseling experience as a CADC-II
- Verification of
2 years (4,000 hours) of clinical supervisory experience in the
AODA field. These 2 years may be included in the 5 years of counseling
experience and must include the provision of 200 contact hours
of face-to-face clinical supervision
- Verification of
30 hours of didactic training in clinical supervision. This must
include training in each of the following areas: Assessment/Evaluation,
Counselor Development, Management/Administration, and Professional
Responsibilities
- Submission of 3
references from individuals familiar with applicant's work
as clinical supervisor, 1 of whom must have supervised candidate's clinical supervision
- Passing of a written
examination that has been approved by the IC&RC
- Submit appropriate

California Certified
Prevention Specialist (CCPS):
- 100 hours approved
prevention training (50 hours ATOD specific)
- 120 hours practicum
experience in 5 performance domains (minimum of 10 hours each)
- 2,000 hours supervised
ATOD prevention experience (supervision by a qualified prevention
professional)
- 3 letters of reference;
1 from a former or current supervisor and 2 from peers (Letters
must attest to applicant's knowledge, experience and character)
- Signed Ethics Code
& Consent to Release Information
- Passing of IC
& RC approved written exam

board for CAADAC, is a member board of the International Certification
