Mail Merge Tutorial

Office 2003
Download Required Files.
Download and save the label template file to your computer.

Download and save the data file to your pc.

Merge Process Now Begins
Open the label template file (master.doc). Select the file on your computer and open it.

Open the label template (master.doc).
Once you've opened your file, it will look like the following:


Move your cursor to the Office Toolbar and Click Tools.

Next select: Letters and Mailings.
A submenu will appear. Click Mail Merge.


A Mail Merge wizard will appear on the right side of your window.

Using the Mail Merge Wizard:
Under the heading "select document type"
Select Labels (Some variations of Word will only work if you select Letters).

After you have selected your document type, move your cursor to the bottom of the wizard and
click Starting Document.


Move back to the top of the wizard and select: Use the current document.

Then scroll down and click: Select recipients.

Move up to the top and select: Use an existing list.

Under the heading:
Use an existing list, Click Browse and open the data file (viewallinstprog.csv) you downloaded earlier.


After opening the data file, a preview window will appear. Do not change any settings. Click "OK".
(will vary if choosing labels)


Move back to the bottom of the wizard and click Write your letter(will vary if chose lables)

click Preview your letters(will vary if chose lables)

click Complete Merge(will vary if chose lables)

Click 'Print'
